Exhibition Milena Jesenská: A Retrospective

Exhibition introduces visitors to the life and work of Milena Jesenská. She was Czech journalist, writer, editor and translator.
After the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Germany, Jesenská joined resistance movement. She was arrested by the Gestapo In October 1940 and later was deported to a concentration camp in Germany.
Milena Jesenská died  in Ravensbrück concentration camp on 17 May 1944.
The Ravensbrück Memorial, the Prague Literary House, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Historical Service participated in the preparation of the exhibition.
